Creative Hypotheses Validation
Based on the Business Canvas, our team set up a variety of hypotheses that needed to be validate during our Lean Entrepreneurship course. Amongst others, we had to analyze the Revenue Streams for PickUsUp, referring to how we would generate revenues. We developed two different ways to calculate the price for the PickUsUp service and generate revenues based on them:
The first one, which we assumed to be favored by users, is the so-called "Zone Model" and users will pay based on the numbers of zones that they cross.
The second option is the "Distance & Time Model" which works similar to the way a normal taxi calculates its price.
The two images shown above were displayed on our facebook page and people following our page were asked to tell us their preference by a like.
Eventually, we received 5 likes for the "Zone Model" and 25 likes for the "Distance & Time Model" and concluded based on these results, that the users would prefer a very detailed calculation of the price to be paid based on the distance and time measured by a taximeter.
